Are you familiar with the downright evil stuff PayPal's been doing over the past several years re confiscating funds from charities, fundraisers, etc?
If you'd consider a company that's been around for awhile, check out dwolla.com. All the same consumer protection of Paypal, US-based (Des Moines, IA baby!), and most importantly for my sales here, their corporate record doesn't make me want to gag. The flat $0.25/transaction doesn't hurt either, but money doesn't even enter into my top 20 "reasons Sleepless hates PayPal". I've been using them to pay for my bands studio recording and posters and have been very happy with them.
