Okay, time to add more meat to this ad.
I'm attaching seceral pictures and a little blues I recorded with an Edirol R-09 digital recorder, live in the basement.
I replaced the waist rest and the endpin.
The new rest is made from an Eminence EUB which I modified to fit the Carruthers.
It's sleeker, and the curve is opposite to the original one.
The original endpin was made of aluminum, was heavy and prone to rattles.
I have fitted the Carruthers with a carbon fiber endpin, bought from Gollihur Music.
All the original electronics have been removed.
I didn't like the sound, and the loose wires running in the instrument were prone to rattles.
I left the side bracket where the output jack was, but that's it.
(I still have the on-board preamp which was removed)
I replaced the original (massive) bridge with a custom one. (made it myself from a DB bridge)
I experimented with lots of pickups.
This one is a Planet wing, and I like it the best.
The strings are Obligatos, fitted in a way to reduce the overlenght at the head.
