| FS: German Plywood Upright-Nashville, TN This is a German plywood bass and i've been told it was probably built in the 1950's.
The label on the inside of the bass says "handarbeit aus mittenwald".
Mittenwald is the place in Germany where a lot of violins and basses are made.. Also Pöllmann and GEWA are stationed there.. The handarbeit aus mittenwald (Hand work from Mittenwald) label means it's from the workshop that's originally started by Mathias Klotz, the founder of violin building in Mittenwald, where all the great builders from the country used to work.
It has been looked over by Dustin at Williams Fine Violins and he assures me that it is in good working condition. To the right buyer and with a little work it could be an excellent instrument.
It comes with a Underwood pickup and a padded gig bag.
The bass and neck have never been damaged and its ready to go!
