I bought this about 8 years ago from T Martin and Son in Lynchburg, VA. They had two Bachert bows that they had acquired from the widow of a very reputable pro bass player(name escapes me). This one was $500, the other $750. I bought this one. Last time it was re-haired was about 4 years ago, it has plenty oh hair on it but in the words of my luthier last month could always get better if re-haired. Speaking of him, I had it re-cambered and whatnot a month ago, when I got it back he said that he only had to make a slight adjustment. It includes this old but sturdy case I got with it. It weighs exactly 131.5 Grams and is made of Pernambuco. I'm not sure if that metal is silver, but I'd assume it was. Reads: G. BACHERT
So, I have no intention of playing orchestral music again, and my carbon bow is good enough for what I do now (I'll often just drop it on stage mid-song instead of trying to cram it into the quiver and not miss a beat).
$500 shipped CONUS, slightly more for the rest of the world
