JP Guitars EUB

This is an electric upright bass manufactured by Jack Pimentel of JP Guitars, Puyallup, Wa. Plays great. Removable neck makes this great for touring or traveling. Set-up and break-down take just minutes. I recently replaced the on-board pre-amp with an Aquilar OBP 3 (I do still have the original preamp as well). If you're familiar with EUBs, the bass is identical to a Carruthers Sub-1. It has a chambered body, 3/4 size string length. My understanding is that this is a rosewood fingerboard. It is currently strung with Helicores. Comes with soft carrying bag. $900 plus shipping. Pics: For Sale Nov 2011 pictures by dr-joe-b - Photobucket

How is it amplified? (Meaning, what kind of pickup is on it?)

Sorry! Slightly important detail there.
There's a piezo transducer built in at the foot of the bridge. The bridge rests on a black plastic brace. I believe the transducer is in the brace. I do not know the make. Before replacing the pre, I spoke with someone at Pimentel's shop. The previous pre was an EMG. They led me to believe they designed the transducer themselves.
I guess I should clarify, also, that when I said I replaced the preamp, what I actually meant was that I had the preamp replaced. I did not do the work myself.
Thanks for bringing that up!

Depends. Probably not, but never hurts to ask. Send me a PM with what you had in mind.

I added more pics as requested. I took it apart and took pics along the way. Took about 5 minutes to get it back together and up to tune. When I had the neck off, I noticed there's another ding underneath the fingerboard. I tried to show this in the one pic that shows pretty much just the body with the control knobs. The mark is above the reflection of the camera. Thanks for looking
