For Sale David Gage Czech- Ease

for sale is my Czech ease,in near new condition, i have always got compliments on its sound and the only reason for selling it is that i needed a stick EUB(and bought) a Yamaha SLB200,
it comes with a David Gage realist and a full circle P/U and the mooradian soft cover
i am willing to deliver the bass within a reasonable distance from the metro DC area
i am asking $2700 but will consider all offers
i am still looking for a coda+ combo and will take one on a partial trade
i have more photos that i can email out.

thanks
etay

A bump + a question please. Why did you chose the Yamaha over the Gage Bass? I've owed both a C-E and several EUB's (most recently Azola) and I understand the pros and cons of each. Just wondering why you the EUB is working for you and why the C-E is not. FWIW, if I had the bread right now and was more local to you, I'd make you an offer. I really miss my C-E now that some road work might be coming my way next year.

well,no question the CZ is the better instrument, the Yamaha is well built and feels (to me)just like a full size bass, practically "0" time to transition, however,i am far from satisfied with its amplified sound, maybe its the rig?(wizzy 10/ Walter woods 400 mono) i don't know..the cz always sounded (with that same combo)like a full size bass.the only reason for selling is that i am moving to London, into a small apartment and i needed something that i can practice on quietly.
since you are in Shanghai i am surprised that you did not come across a chin ease knock off yet..

Give them time....they will come up with something. But maybe not because they are all about making and moving as many basses as possible. We both know that there is a pretty small, specialised market for travel basses. They probably figure they couldn't sell enough of them. Meanwhile, somebody. Buy this bass!

It seems that the seller is not offering one in his ad. It's not mine, just trying to give the seller a bump!
