This is a Colombian made Sendel bass. The bass has been used and has quite a few wear spots. I took pics of most. It has a rosewood board. The board has been planed a bit, and most of the buzzes are gone, but there is some buzzing around the D on the G string. There is a newer set of spiro solos on it.
I was told by the original owner that he installed an original Ampeg pickup in it. I cannot confirm this, but the bass really does sound just like the Ampegs.
UPDATE: You can see in the pics that the neck alignment is off. It appears that the pin that couples the neck to the body is causing it. It was better without the pin, but I don't know if that is recommended. I never really noticed the strings slipping off the edge of the board though.
Since I cannot confirm that it is an original pickup, I am going to list this as $1000 shipped with the pickup, and $500 shipped without. I posted some pics of the pickup.
Hmm. Yeah. I just took the bass out and tried to see what is happening. It looks like the pin that couples the neck and the body is causing it. Without the pin, it is a bit better, but I don't know if that is as stable.
Well, I will update the OP with this info. I am open to all offers too.
I never had any issues with the strings slipping off the board though.
