| Shen SB300 – 2000 Vintage Fully Carved Maple Roundback: PRICE DROP
2000 Shen SB300 3/4 fully carved maple roundback. Amateur audition proven, this bass has been played by my son winning him a seat with the Columbus Youth Symphony Cadet and The Youth Philharmonic of Central Ohio. We acquired this Shen from Robertson Violin and it has been maintained regularly by Nick Lloyd (recent fingerboard dress, bridge reshape, and checkup).
Information I received from John Sprague when we acquired this Shen “The outline of this bass eventually became what is today's Shen willow 3/4 flatback. We made a number of the maple roundbacks from around '98 to '02.”
We recently had the opportunity to acquire an Arvi and are selling only to fund that purchase. With the sale we can offer the buyer a string choice of Belcantos or Permanents, both sets are fairly new with plenty of life. Also included is a Gollihur Series 1 Professional wheeled bag . We are located in the Columbus, OH area and willing to travel a reasonable distance to meet a serious buyer. This Shen is set up for a standard end pin and the use of a Laborie pin.
