I'm new to the forum and I'm not a bassist, however a bassist friend suggested I post a bass that I have for sale here.
I bought a Thompson plywood bass for a tour that my band did in 2011 as we had some different players flying in and out on different gigs and needed to provide them with a bass to use. I chose the Thompson bass as a good, inexpensive option for early jazz.
The bass is set up with gut strings on the top and I believe wound gut on the bottom. The bridge is adjustable. There are a couple small dings on the finish but it is in great condition.
I'm located in Seattle so I'd prefer to sell it to someone in the Pac. NW as I'm not inclined to ship it anywhere. However I'm going to be on a tour in the Midwest in April that we're driving to, so I could bring the bass along if someone wanted to buy it.
