UPTON MEDIO FINO - PRICE DROP

Ok for sale is a 2005 (it was purchased on 11/5/05 and has serial #ub11040501) mint condition Upton double bass. This has never been gigged and barely played. I purchased it off of a friend who bought it but never played it so it became bedroom art. I tinkered playing with it a little but I truly enjoy electric bass and this has just sit doing nothing. This bass comes with a double bass gig bag on rollers, bow, endpin, and bridge adjuster and Revolution pickup. I have all original paperwork and have listed as much as I know about the bass since I really don't know the double bass lingo too well. I am located in central Connecticut but may be willing to ship depending on situation.

Asking $1600.00

On another note, I've decided I am going to close this thread and take this bass off the chopping block for now. I never realized it's alot more work and PM's to sell an upright than a regular bass. I've gotten tons of pm's on it and I'm just too busy right now with work and family stuff in the fall to arrange showings and drive the bass around looking for a buyer. I appreciate all the private messages and interest in the bass and hopefully when thingss slow down I will relist this.

Reopening this for sale listing. also some added info from some previous questions I had gotten:

strings are pirastro obligatos
bass was setup at Upton bass and has never had any repair work
D neck
standard workshop bow

Just a suggestion: since you are located in CT, have you considered taking the bass to the Upton Bass shop and have them sell it for you on consignment? That would sure take the hassle out of selling on your own.

Ok so I have been talking with Eric at Upton sending pics and serial number to get the right information as I know very little about double bass other than how to play it. This is NOT a hybrid as another poster on the thread had noted but is the laminate version therefore I am making a major price adjustment and reducing this instrument to $1600.00.

That hybrid misinformation could be me. I didn't realize there were both hybrid and laminate Medio Finos. Sorry. I like mine. It's a solid bass with fine tone.
