Like $200 each shipped to the lower 48. 8 ohms and single 1/4" input. Strap handle on top.
The bottom handle is good for kicking it up like the Wizzy 10. Feet on the side are nice for stacking two.
Dims are:
15w x 12d x 17.5h.

Thanks |

I think the driver is rated at 250 watts continuous. They are also fairly efficient boxes. A friend on the electric bass side has been using a pair with a Carvin 500 head and a 5 string in a classic rock cover band for the last two years and is happy with them.
Despite their intended portability, they go surprisingly loud.

The drivers are great, and $150 new to begin with; I put two of them in an old Ampeg V4 cab and sealed off the other two holes, and it was an amazing creation. I can imagine this stack would be a lot of fun.
But I hope nobody buys both right away because I'm trying to convince one of my students to grab one as an extension for her MB150E (which is actually what fdeck designed them for in the first place). |

any idea how this diy cab would compare to a GK 112MBX which is GK's extension cab for their micro combo's. Description sounds like it's twice as loud. Plus, the GK is rated at 100w. |

The response of the GK combo on the chart would be about the same as that of the MBX. So it looks like this DIY is louder, with a very similar EQ curve. I would take this one over the 112MBX any day.

The GK couldn't keep up in the volume department. Later, someone gave me another GK but that's another story.
The GK combo and MBX sound identical to me, tighter and with a pronounced mid-bass. Not much on top. The DIY sounds more full range and open. There is a bit of upper midrange peak but not much. It is more efficient and will play louder.
Somebody buy these before I change my mind.
