Flight case in Vancouver: Saga fiberglass, $300
You too can own a piece of Canadian bass history! This bass trunk was made in about 1999 by a yacht company in Ontario that did a run of cello and bass flight cases on the side.
Fiberglass construction, basic foam pads and harness inside. It will fit a 7/8 bass.
But wait! There's more!
The case is well-used and fugly but is structurally sound, as far as I can tell. It's missing a couple of rubber bumpers and there's one ding in the outer laminate (see detail) that doesn't go through the shell. I've flown with it half a dozen times and have lent it out many times without incident.
It's old and weighs about 65 pounds empty. This makes it overweight for 21st-century airlines (at least Canadian ones). I've never had it refused, but it's occasionally been expensive. Mostly used under the bus or in a cargo trailer in recent years.
I don't have a place to store it anymore and I'm not likely to use it anytime soon. Asking $300 or a reeeeeasonable offer. The case is in Vancouver, BC, Canada. Buyer pays shipping. PM for exact dimensions or with any other questions.
Call now!! - and you get - well, a flight case. Howzat?
