| FS: Lightly Used VELVET ANIMA String Set $115 priority shipped -
had these on my bass for not very long, maybe about a month - close to new
The Anima strings are thinner than Garbos, with more articulation and sustain; they also bow well. Great for jazz bassists who also do arco work! They have big volume with a warm sound, though they're not as dark as the Garbos due to their thinner diameter.
Great definition, rich bass and good balance. Velvet recommends them as their "hybrid" string, claiming that they are "suitable for practically every application from Jazz to Baroque."
The strings feature Velvet's unique "even tension" of approx 25g per string.
Note that these strings do not have "Ball Ends" but rather loops on the tailpiece end of the strings. Looped bass strings (which are not as common as the ball ends we're used to seeing) are installed by wrapping the string around the hole in the tailpiece and back through the loop - similar to strings on a classical guitar.
