I have for you today a set of Velvet Anima strings, purchased new in April and used on my bass for a period of roughly 2 months. I am absolutely in love with the sound of these strings played pizzicato, but under the bow is another thing. They're definitely playable, and better than a lot of strings out there, but the sound was never quite clear or articulate enough to my ear (then again, that could be the player
). The strings were well cared-for, showing only the usual bend at the bridge and some slight tarnishing from playing (if you've dealt with Animas or Garbos before, you know what I mean). Nut and bridge slots were filed to the proper diameter, so there have been no issues with the windings.
So, what I'd like to do is trade them to some lucky soul out there who is just dying to get rid of a set of Velvet Compas 180 SUIT in similar shape. I know (hope) that there's someone out there who'll want to make this trade, so let's get to it!
P.S. While I do have chronic S.A.S., in this case, I am really only looking for this specific set of strings, because of their versatility as a solo/orchestral tuning string.
