Thumbs up 2x10" DIY tutorial anyone?

Ok so let me introduce myself first. I have been watching the talkbass community for a while now and I thought it’s about time I contribute somehow since this is "the" bass forum around...

I am 31 years old, I live in Serbia (Europe) and I occasionally play some funky/jazzy/groovy stuff with my put-together band Jazzitet. You can check it out on the ***tube if you care… The band sounds much better than I do alone
My main activity is audio/PA systems service and customization. I also make some active circuits for electric guitars and basses and that sort of stuff… Thru the years, I have made quite a few Hi-Fi and PA cabs.

Recently I made a 2x10” cab to go with an Ashdown mag300 head I bought new in Austria. Going thru the forum, I found a few similar threads but I don’t think any of those have the level of detail shown on pictures that I was able to capture during my build.

So if anyone is interested to see the full tutorial on a DIY 2x10” bass cab please let me know here!

Here’s a little sneak peek to get you going:

yes, thanks

i'd like to see it. did you build because it was more economical, or for sound quality, or maybe both. i've always liked a 15 but i've been thinking of adding a couple of 10's lately.

To tell you the truth i built it because I am a diehard DIY-er and there is no other way for me. The feeling you get when it's finished is irreplaceable!
I've repaired hundreds of woofers, built dozens of cabs and for the best result I would not settle for a commercial offering. Don’t get me wrong - there are quite a few fine cabs out there, but I like to make my own...
As for the choice between 15 and 2x10 all has been said elsewhere: 15 inchers have that low end thump and growl 10 inchers are missing, while 2x10 inch cabs have punch, midbass clarity and better projection, they can also cut thru the mix better than 15 inchers so they complement each other perfectly!
OK i will then upload a few pics and see how you guys like it!
