4 or 8 ohms?

Sign in to disble this ad
Hi- I'm new round here but have a question... I'm in the process of buying a new cab. I've got a mesa boogie mpulse 600 head and trying to decided if I should go for 8 ohm 4x10 plus 8 ohm 1x15, or 4 ohm 4x10 or 6x10? Any thoughts. Also, is there any bass cabs out there that can switch between 4 and 8??

thanks

DON'T EVEN GO THERE.
Just kidding, but not really. I know your new, but a company a year or two ago said they came out with one that didn't even work. It was a big rage around here. From what I understand, what they came up with defied the laws of physics.
On the other question, that's personal taste. You'll get more volume due to more speaker suface area out of the multiple caps. You'll get more punch out of a 4 or 6 10. You need to listen and decide for your self. We will only tell you what WE like. Personally, I use a 4 ohm 412.
