5 years to make my first post....so Hello!

Wow, I signed up in October of 2003 and then I guess I got side tracked and busy with other things. I know a lot of TBers out there already whether from meeting/jamming in person or through other forums.

I’m in the Army Band program and moved from Japan in January and now live in VA Beach, VA working as the bass instructor at the Armed Forces School of Music. I love my job, I love playing bass, I love traveling, I love meeting people and I love cigars.

Over 21 years professional playing experience. I’ve been fortunate to be able to have traveled the world playing bass, thanks to my Army gig.

I play electric and upright bass and now learning jazz guitar thanks to Jimmy Bruno’s web-teaching program. I got to study with some great teachers over the years and blah blah blah. I figure we’ll get to all that in time as we get to know each other.

I look forward to catching up on a lot of great info here and also look forward to getting involved.

Jim

Welcome, from another old pro. I almost did the Army Band thing about 15 years ago but other things took off for me. Mad respect in that gig, though.

Thanks for the welcoming. I read somewhere that in life, you should find out what you love to do and then find out a way to make money doing it. Many paths can be chosen. But what I found is if you find what you love to do, the paths to it seem to choose you. Mad respect to you as well my friend.
