Thought I better say “Hi” as I have been using various topics in the forums to sort out some problems I have had and to progress my knowledge.
Family bought me my 1st bass “combo deal” in 2007 after they saw me checking out a banjo in the local music shop (something I’d toyed with in my teens). There was some intent that I’d play along with my guitarist son …. but I think most importantly to them, I did NOT get a banjo LOL!
I was obviously looking for some outlet / pastime and I didn’t know how bass centric my world was until I started downloading tabs of all my favourite songs from the late 60’s on and realised that I identified the songs by their bassline.
Most of my playing is in the lounge room using Guitar Pro or mp3s; but I really enjoy it and I’m having a great time.
As far a global location goes I live near Gosford which is about 1 hour drive north of Sydney. | 
I hope to be able to visit Oz one of these days. One of my favorite places on the globe.
