I'm a regular over on the Tophat forum and the Gretsch Disscussion Page. I also go by roadjunkie on both forums RJ for short Both are great places to hang out!
Somewhat of a half baked guitar player who happened into a 6073 Electrotone. The official story is I was waliking along minding my own business and this bass fell thru the ceiling and into my hands. Don't know where it came from! Honest!
Now the truth of the matter is that 2 weeks ago over on the GDP we had what we call a roundup. A few of us all got together in Nashville at a corperate retreat just north of town and had the time of our lives. The boys at Gretsch got involved and both Fred Gretsch and Joe Carducci attended. One of our little games included writing our names on a guitar pick and stuffing them into the f-hole of a 125th Anniversary. My name came out when the Electrotone was up! I don't know anything about bass but I'm going to learn I guess! Anyhow I almost kissed Carducci when I won and there's no looking back! I'm going to be a bass player! Hell I don't know if it's karma or whatever but I do know you don't look a gift horse in the mouth!
And large props for Gretsch! It's almost unheard of what this company did for us in Nashville! That's what makes them a great company with great people and a great product!
Since then I've joined here, lurked a bit! Also bought a GB Shuttle 3 for around the house. So far so good! I'm happy with it. i look forward to learning a few things around here!
