anyone know about mini codensor mics for an upright bass

Hey! Does anyone have advice on using a mini condensor mic for my upright I have been cliping it to the f hole faceing the bridge. I had it on the low end side,this week I move it under the G D side found it was booming. I would appreciate any advice.
