| Anyone sequence MIDI with their bass?

I'm looking to use my bass as a MIDI controller in programs such as GarageBand, Reason and Digital Performer. Does anyone do this already? If so, it would be great to see an outline of your setup. Any comments about your experience with using the setup are more than welcomed!
