elementary question here, no doubt.

For the life of me, I can not find the place to create my avatar. I thought it would be in 'my talkbass' somewhere - but I just can't see it.

Does anyone know where it is?

I signed up yesterday and had the same question. Look under being a supporting member. Avatars are one of the perks for donating to the forum.

Yep, you have to become a supporting member to get an avatar.
