Nowthen,
I'm new, so as is customary just making an introduction. I play multiple instruments, but Bass is my major one. I have played electric bass for years, always using a Bass Collection 611 through an old Hartke Transporter 3500 Head and 4x10 cab; a combination and sound I discovered in 1988 (I think) and never tired of. I also have a home studio, which (if you're interested (which is unlikely)) comprises an iMac running Logic 9, NI Battery plug-in via a Yamaha DTXPlorer, PodFarm via a GuitarPort, and various other bits and bobs all held together with a Tascam US-428. This gives me a nice simple setup with good flexibility and minimum hassle. I have managed to limit the 'oh what's wrong now' factor.
I have recently acquired a Stagg EDB 3/4 in Red (sort of by accident) and this coincided with an acutely accelerated interest in Rock/Psych/Punkabilly, as well as a long-term fondness for (some) jazz, so I'm enjoying learning the upright bass. My smooth jazz version of the Rainbow theme is something to ignore.
Anyway, it surely can't take that long to play like Jimbo Wallace - can it?
Adios Loco Gringos,
