Back to the groove after 15yr hiatus

Hello There!

Started gigging at 17 and played pretty hard up until I was 28 or so. Got kinda burned out having the weekends taken up and laid the bass down for a while. Played in a succession of 5 bands. Mostly country (this is KANSAS!) but also some 3-chord blues type stuff such as ZZ. Mostly played clubs in the Wichita, KS area during the early 80's through mid 90's.

Worked also as a machinist. That and the gig money helped me work my way through college and got a Engineering Deg in '94. Now a respectable, white collar type with a wife and two kids.

Recently got back with my old guitar playing pal and are working on a new band. Going to start gigging again soon but not gonna hit it REAL hard like we did back in the day. I'm too old for that!

I'm loving this forum. Didn't have the internet when I was a pup so looking to greatly improve my game over where I was back then. So much has changed - I have to admit I am a little overwhelmed right now, but learnign new things everyday.

Thanks in advance to all the contributors here on this forum!
