hi guys. i grew up playing a peavey foundation, i loved that thing, it was my best friend, but when she died, i haven't been able to pick up a bass since. i switched to acoustic guitar, but it's not the same. now after years past, i'm ready to start back up. and i got a pretty decent budget too. so i need to find something great. my foundation was a 4 string, but i'm wondering if i should step up to a 5. i live in a place where you can't really test out instruments, so i gotta cross my fingers and order something on the net. but i don't want to shell out tons of cash and not be happy with a 5 string. what do you think?

I just switched to a 5'er and if its going to be the only bass you will be playing the transition is painless, you'll find that 'b' pretty useful-as for a Bass you will not go wrong with a Skyline series Lakland and they keep there value very well.Thomann have some in stock!- Si
