Bass guitar in Iraq

Sign in to disble this ad
Hey Y'all,

I'm deployed in Iraq right now and I just bought a Bass guitar from a guy who was going home. I needed something to do when not dodging mortars. I took a couple of the online lessons available and now I just plug my iPod into some really tinny sounding speakers and fill in the bass.
I have the new Kenny Chesney LIVE album on my iPod and I would really like to have the BASS TABS for:
"How Forever Feels" on that album, if anyone can help, I would really appreciat it.
thanks

Balad

stedtale,

Thanks for the encouragement.

If your bro-in-law is with a Blackhawk and is coming to Balad, his coming to LSA Anaconda. We have about 30,000 people on this base. Nick name is "Mortarita-ville" but it's not near as bad now as it was a year or two ago. The living conditions are good with good dining facilities, Exchange, food court and other amenities. The downside for Blackhaws is there is a lot of flight time. If he wants to get in touch with me about anything, feel free to give him my email address = tec_hall@yahoo.com or eugene.hall@kbr.com.

Thanks for the email

I'm an Army contractor with KBR. I got to Iraq in Sept. 2004 and did a year and a half in Tikrit. I've been at Anaconda since July 2006. I subcontract out all of the camp services and labor. I also had some construction contracts before but none right now.

Welcome, Thanks, Air Force Vet here. If you haven't seen it there's a sticker going around. "Stand behind our troops or your welcome to stand in front of them", I'm behind you.

The reason I quoted is they are pretty strict about politics around here and remember, we have members from all over the world. I want to see you stick around.

Keep up the good work!!!!!

country bass tabs are hard to find

sometimes you get lucky on http://www.911tabs.com/ or http://www.bassmasta.net/
911 tabs links to them all. So start there.
I'm currently filling in for a country band. Alot of tunes I had to learn by ear.
For faster tunes, or learning the song note for note you can use this program or one similar... http://www.ronimusic.com/
Best of luck to you in Iraq.
Stay safe bro.

Thanks for the tip. When I asked for help finding country bass tabs on other forums I got a lot of unkind comments.....like "just play 5...3...5...3...5....." but I am finding that some of this new stuff is really quite complicated. Thanks again and we sure do appreciate all the support.

yeah, the "new" country is really just pop with a twang

also, you might want to check out www.activebass.com it's not a tab site, but has so good lessons and such on it.
