well it looks like im the first person to reply. well i dont exactly know why i prefer bass. its just in my personality. im a quiet person so i like sticking to the bass other than guitar. plus they look cooler. and dont forget u dont have to be that good to play in a band and the bass has low standards compared to the guitar. its a whole lot easier.

I would agree with chazburger about the personality--don't know about the easier part, when trying to sing, I wish I could just strum a chord, but I digress.....anyway I find that bass players are good leaders--we tend to think about or "feel" the vibe for the song as a whole. That is ultimately what we must serve---the bass is what you feel, it is what makes you move...I have always listened to the bass and although I can play guitar, I always feel dirty in the morning..Bass is my true love ..has been for thirty years.

I HAVE A DIFFERENT OPINION THAN YOU ABOUT BASS EASINESS(DOES THIS WORD EXISTS?? )CHAZBURGER.BASS IS A VERY EASY INSTRUMENT TO PICK UP BUT TOO DIFFICULT TO LEARN DEEP.MANY STARTED PLAYING BASS BECAUSE OF THE COMMON STORY((HEY MAN,WE HAVE A COOL GROUP OF MUSICIANS AND WE ARE LOOKING FOR THE IDIOT TO PLAY THE BASS,WHY DON'T YOU JOIN ??)).THINK ABOUT ALL THOSE FUNKY JAZZISTS OR METAL FREAKS!!!BASS IN THE BEGINNING IS A EASY INSTRUMENT TO START,BUT IT WANTS HARD FINGER EXERCISE.ALSO,LISTEN AND WATCH SOME BASS SOLOS AND THING IF THERE IS ANY GUITARIST WHO CAN PLAY THEM .IN CONCLUSION AND IN MY OWN OPINION,BASS DOESN'T HAVE LOWER STANDARDS THAN GUITAR.THE STANDARDS ARE MADE BY US WHO LOVE TO PLAY OUR FAVOURITE INSTRUMENT (BASS OF COURSE).

YEAH MAN THEY LOOK VERY COOL !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
