HI I am Woolfey.. From central MassiveChewShits.. I played a 1941 Kay Orchestra model for years... Weird oak looking veneer on it .. Bluegrass and Dawg/punk mostly... Had a new neck put on and it turned out way better than I expected.. Sold it cause I was living in a travel trailer. and figured it would die a horrible death and I wouldn't be able to resurrect it.. My main bass now is a Peavey T-20 . I play through either my Ampeg Rocket 100 or using a direct box thru my PA amp, depending upon what I am doing,, Just sold a Guild Archtop to fund a new ABG.. Hopefully that will not disappoint.. I also have a 30's All aluminum upright .. that I am trying to bring back to life.. I have a Dayton band instruments cast aluminum bridge and it has a gorgeous Brazilian Rosewood fingerboard...
I am currently figuring out a new tailpiece for it.. (Lighter the better I'm told) and hoping to find the strings that won't sound like a Cessna with strings on it.. I expect a long trial period.. esspecially since money is at a premium...
