Hey there people
My name is Carrie and I just got into playing bass. I have not played music of any kind since I was 13 (over 20 years!) so I have a lot to learn. I bought a cheap "starter" bass kit, a Hartke 4 string, since it didn't make sense to spend a lot more money until I knew what I really wanted.
I've been jonesing to learn bass for a while now, and my interest in bass goes back to when I was a teenager. I have always thought that the bass was a very versatile instrument with a lot of range. In terms of styles or genres, I want to learn how to play rock and jazz. But since I'm a total newbie, I have a lot to learn before I can play anything recognizably cool.
