Hi to bassists and sympathisers of bass parts in music!

I'm new here althoguh I'm not new in the world of music. I've been playing for many years in various bands (guitar, harp, keyboards), been a song writer, and sometimes I play bass on my home recordings or live in a band.
Now I'd like to ask my first question:
Speaking of diving necks on a bass guitar, can anyone tell me whether the violin Beatle Bass models like Harley Benton BeatBass, Jay Turser, Epiphone, Johnson or some others of this kind have diving necks? I've tried an old EKO Violin bass and it did have a diving neck. I occasionaly need to play a bass and being a guitar player, I prefer short scale necks and light guitars. It is hard to decide to buy a guitar ordering it without having tryed it personally.
Zhanks!
