herrow to all of you fine bassists out there

I be Duld, Live in Iceland, am a professional jazz singer (of the dong free kind, in other words female), sing in a punk band, love all sorts of music, one or two genres unforgiven, struggling with my bass lessons, want to be good at it but... hehe tbh I don't know much about bass unless that I love the lower register instruments, playd bassoon before, but playing bassoon and singing at the same time is simply not an option, especially not in a punk-ish band

so I'm here simply to learn from you guys, and get recommendations, and I bid you to excuse my ignorrance of the world of bass, but I guess I'd better start somewhere

LOL! I don't know, duld, I think punk bassoon would be kind of fun...rather like Jethro Tull rocking the flute.

<.<;;
kinda sold my old bassoon, it's in better hands now, it has traveled the world with a known Icelandic band, but it would have been sweet =w=;, got plenty of other instruments to choose from, I have hoarded all sorts of flutes over the years

@bassteban:thanks, I shall look forward for further encounter

Welcome to TB! Good move on making this a place to learn more about bass. I have learned so much from browsing through these pages for many hours. I hope it treats ya the same! 8)

No worries on feeling ignorant! Most people here are chill, at least from what I noticed. I have been playing bass for several years, but never really did much more than play it. Just a few weeks/months on here and you will be a pro
