Hello to fellow bassists worldwide!
I'm the four-stringer in a covers band here in the middle of England, we go by the handle of Three Mile Island.
We play stuff from the sixties through to the noughties, a bit of The Who and Stones from way back when, a couple of tracks from The Jam, plenty of punk/new wave and bang up to date with Stereophonics, White Stripes and Killers stuff, trying to make our choices familiar to the audience but not necessarily the obvious choice for covers.
I've been playing since 1986 but along with the other musicians in my band, I had a lengthy hiatus where I dropped out of music.
We got together for a "one-off" jam a couple of years back and haven't looked back, now we get plenty of work and I live for the next show.
