Hey there, TalkBass!
My name is Davy, and I've been teaching myself to play bass guitar for about a year and a half now...
I'm obviously a newbie, but I absolutely adore the instrument, and I'd like to think that I'm getting to the point where I can actually call myself a bassist instead of just telling people "I mess with a bass guitar now and then."
Anyhow, I joined TalkBass so I can, well, Talk Bass, and so that I can find some good tips and tricks for playing, buying gear, etc.!
I'm looking forward to my time on the forums, and I hope my constant Regina Spektor quotes don't get people too confused.

PS- I plan to donate and become a supporting member on my next paycheck. I have a grand total of $74 to support me for the next two weeks. (I work in a coffeeshop.)
