Evening ladies and gentleman. Been lurking around checkin out your forum and finally pulled the trigger. Just switched over from playing guitar due to a hand injury. Hoping that I will be able to transition without too much trouble. Found my bass, 1985 Peavey Patriot on craigslist and was a case queen. Slight bow in neck when got it, but a slight tweek and its almost NOS. The case would last right along with cockroaches after a nuclear attack. I own a Peavey Mantis from right around the same year and it has a great neck and all around great craftsmanship and know Peaveys guitars and equipment are underrated, and thought I could get a decent bass for little money. Well mission accomplished. All case candy wrenches and the case key. Yeap case key. Thing sounds great, even though I am running it through a mg15cd Marshall guitar amp for now, till I can get a bass amp. Have a early seventies Peavey Classic 100 series combo that is trade bait, but no luck as of yet. Well thanks for reading my babble and appreciate all the great info, and look forward to picking your brains, cause I will build one as I already built myself a guitar. Just more satifaction seeing your own name on the headstock than someone elses. Thanks again James Copsey II. Semper Fi.
