| Desperate for an amp

I've only been here a few days surfing for information on how to find an amp. It's tough for me, trying to find something cheap and loud.
Anyhow I've played bass for about 8 months, had taken lessons with little sucess for about 3 months, and I play with my guitar friend and drummer friend whom both have more money than I am, and are therefore much louder.
I play a Ibanez SR 300 DX through an Austin guitar amp. Oddly enough I've used it though this guitar amp and it's fairly loud and seems to sound alright.
Hm what else I like modes, and I focus on those extensively, in fact that's pretty much the extent of my music theory.
And I know that these introduction Threads never get read, but it'll be nice to get that little box above the forums to go away.
