Howdy from South Texas (Cliche', eh?). Ya'll have some amazing equipment and talent-to say I'm impressed is an understatement.

So I've been lurking for a while and figured its finally time to say hi.

Now thats outta the way- I'm a 27 year old Ad Consultant in the Automotive industry, have played Saxophone since I was 12, and picked up my first bass guitar (yamaha RBX 350II if I recall...) around 14 years old. I gigged in highschool and college with numerous latin/salsa/jazz/blues/rock and top 40 type bands, original and cover material, etc etc...

I had to take a break from music when I started my career and am trying to get back into it-head first. Current collection includes:

Spector NS5 Euro
Spector NS20005 Korean
OLP Stingray 5 clone with upgraded hardware and an EMG TW series pickup.
Fender Stratocaster (1996 American)
Dean Acoustic guitar
Yamaha Stage Custom 5pc kit with Zijldian Cymobols. (spelling nightmare I'm sure)
Custom Brazilian/self built work in progress 5-string fretless with 18v EMG Electronics/Badass V bridge.

Really more of a hobbyist at this point, but looking for nice american jazz bass and a gibson SG standard.

Howdy from about an hour and 40 minutes down 59 out of Houston.

Did a similar life cycle(bass from mid 60's until 1989, then career/family). Got drafted back into it in August 2006. 30-something gigs later, it's great to be back in.
