Hello from Central Florida,

I'm a keyboard player and hack guitarist turned bass player. I've had a Takamine acoustic 4-string (EG512C) for about a year -- wanted to add some bottom end to our regular acoustic guitar jams. I had to add a little Epiphone practice amp just so I could be heard once more than 2 guitars came into play.
Just picked up a used Fender MIM Jazz 5-string for use at a couple of regular electric jams that I've recently plugged into (bad pun, I know)
I'm a fan of most any style of music that's played well, although I've mostly dabbled in Rock, American Folk and most recently some Jazz.
Haven't shopped around yet for a bass rig, but that will happen some time in the upcoming months. I intend to hit this board with some questions at that time to hopefully benefit from the combined wisdom of all the players here.
