EUB noob from San Francisco

Hi all,

I used to play electric bass guitar in a couple of bands when I was a teenager back in Japan. I pretty much stopped playing about 10 years ago when I moved to the US. I had a bass with me for first 5 or 6 years, but she was just sadly sitting on the stand and I eventually let her go because I felt too bad just seeing her gathering dusts.

I've been wanting to try the upright bass and playing some Jazz since I first started playing e. bass, and I figured I waited long enough.

I just ordered NS Design NXT 4 and it should be here tomorrow. I am a complete noob to EUB (and to the entire world of double bass) so I'm sure I'm looking at quite long and hard road ahead. I hope I won't be asking too many too stupid questions on the forum, but much looking forward to learning a lot from experienced bassists here.
