WOW! Talkbass is still out there for all the bass players.Very cool.
Since my old email account no longer exsists I could`nt reincarnate as "Usul" (my username from 10 yrs ago) so I`m going by "HosMan" this time.
Ten or eleven years ago I taught myself, little by little,to play the bass--mainly as a hobby and for fun. This site was a HUGE resource for beginner like me.(Everyone please give your monitor a hug now).
Long story short:due to some physical and life situations I let my bassplaying go by the wayside.During a brief jobless period I had to sell the gear(ever see a grown man cry?).After that I was too angry and bitter at the world in general to consider ever taking up bass guitar again.
My very good friend,Robert, gives me my birthday present yesterday at work.Guess, anyone?

A used Squire(by Fender) 20th Anniversery P-Bass !!! I WAS BLOWN AWAY!! He knew I wanted to get back into it but he also knew I would not do it on my own...so. I`m nervous, anxious, excited and kind of scared as I`m an absolute beginner again. No muscle memory and have to re-learn everything about the instrument.Since my buddy is a guitarist and (usually)in a band I will be able to jam with him eventually.So...back at TalkBass and going back to school!
Some members I remember: John Turner,Crawling Eye,Pacman.
Also a friend from here who lived in Scottland and had a band called "Pandemoneum"? I`d love to chat with him again.
Thanks for reading!
