i'm chris. i've played bass for about 12 years now, starting on a no name heap of junk from a second hand shop and steadily been adding strings ever since, so now i own a lovely ibanez 6 string. started off with the obligatory nirvana and oasis covers, then i mostly played in a punk band till about a year ago.
Currently play in a (female fronted) prog-metal band called causality, i've played in a few metal bands over the years but i always left because the stuff we came up with was just too simple (how can anyone not want to play in 5/4?) and didn't have the energy i wanted.
i see the bass as not only the foundation of a rock/punk/metal band but a lead instrument in it's own right, and play it as such.
looking forward to getting stuck into it and adding to my meagre knowledge of the more esoteric elements of the finest instrument going.
