Had a bass as a kid (bought at a pawn shop) and never learned to play it. Sold it to help pay for wedding rings in 1982. Promised myself that I would someday return to it.
Fast forward to earlier this week. Spotted a Brice "Hofner" knockoff and bought it and then picked up a beat-up Hartke practice amp yesterday. Bought the familiar Mel Bay book (same as the one I had 24 years ago, except for the DVD) and now have sore fingers.
username seems appropriate...starting out at 48.
