I've always had an attraction to the base line in a song, but never seriously considered taking it up. But just this last week, I decided I need something more productive to do with my time besides work, sleep, and videogames, so I went out and bought a used but nice Ibanez 4 string bass and a cheapie used little amp for $25. So far I'm having a lot of fun with it, but I'm only learning what I can online. I hope to be able to sign up for some lessons at some point, but at the moment, can't afford to, so I'm just trying to familiarize myself with basic music theory and finding my way around my new baby. Anyways, it was suggested to me on reddit that I should check out these forums, so here I am! Hello talkbass peoples and I'm glad to have found you. I now have something more than reddit to do with my time at work. =)

Get a TranZamp B15 bass amp. I got one new for $100 and it still works like a dream.
