I've been playing guitar and violin for many years at home mostly. I started playing bass last year and been playing in public ever since. Oh, and I'm and old geezer (in my early 50s).

While I've listened to rock all my life, I play something different for gigs. Last year, a local musical production for community theater needed a bass player and so I went for it. I tabbed out the music for the show, but I quickly learned to read bass clef. As it turned out, I had the time of my life and so I was hooked. Most of the shows I've done since are as a bass player, but a couple of shows I've been able to double on guitar, mandolin and banjo.

Since I havn't had to compete with a loud guitar player, and the drummer is electronic, I don't need a huge amp. I've been using a Fender Bassman 150 and I like it quite a bit.

My bass is a Fender Hwy One Jazz. I've added a badass II bridge and currently using flats on it.

Last year I ended up doing about 50 shows and this year I will do a few more than that. Anyway, I'm glad to be here and I'm willing to help in any way I can.
