FUNK AND SOUL BASS

Sign in to disble this ad
I have been a fan of old school late 60's - mid 70's bass style playing. I started music in hip-hop sampling people like Fred Thomas (James Brown), Joseph Lucky Scott (Curtis Mayfield) etc. Now I have a band named Mothers Favorite Child and was lucky enough to have the great FRED THOMAS lay down tracks on my new album. The stories he told and tone he laid down was nothing short of magical for me. I got to work with one of the masters of funk and he actually is on my album. If you want to check Fred's playing you can hear it at Paris Toon fea. mothers favorite child | Carefree, AZ | R&B/Soul / Funk / Jazz | Music, Lyrics, Songs, and Videos | ReverbNation He played on Brooklyn Baby & Pops Barbershop. I have about another ten songs in the vault which will be released in the beginning of nest year! It is amazing how humble and supportive some of the great icons are!!! I tried to get in touch with Joseph Lucky Scott as well but sadly he passed. Next I am going to try to work the the GREAT Larry Graham!!!

If anyone loves funk and soul bass and plays that vintage tone please feel free to hit me up and let me hear your work. Let me know what you think!!! Paris Toon / mothers favorite child
