Hey guys, Dan here...
I'm 21 years old, I've only recently takenup bass after about 10 years of guitar, but its opened up a whole new world of musical expression for me, and the guitar has almost been put away completely as a result! I've come from a classical and prog-rock/metal background on guitar, but in recent years I've really been listening to a lot of jazz/fusion/funk sort of stuff.
Probably my current fave bassists who I'd like to emulate in my playing are Gary Willis, Jonas Hellborg, John Patitucci, Tom Kennedy and the like. High standards I know! haha I've only got a cheapish sort of bass atm, but I'm hoping to upgrade to a 5 string fairly soonish, once I figure out what I actually want...
