Hi. After 30+ years of banging the acoustic guitar... I got the bass bug and sold some stuff to buy a fender geddy lee and the small line 6 lowdown studio 110. Lovin' the LOW - and enjoying the forums.

Welcome! It's great you've given up yer evil, geetar ways. Actually I'm a pianer convert I and pick up my acoustic once in awhile....I keep breakin' strings on the acoustic when I try to slap and pull though.

I too made the transition... of course I was only a guitar player for about 3 years and have been a bass player for like 17.

My one bit of advice; get to know a really good drummer and listen to everything he has to say about how a rhythm section works. I've learned more from drummers than bassists through the years. Of course they have the tendancy to borrow money and try to live in your couch
