Hi Folks, my name is Mike and I come from Cornwall in the far South West of England. I have been playing bass badly for nearly 25 years, been in various bands although I stopped gigging about 15 years ago. Last September some friends from work and I formed a band, 14 Gauge, and we have now done 4 gigs and have some more lined up soon. We are all ambulance staff which makes getting all 4 of us together for a practice or gig a nightmare, but we're managing and it's just great to be playing live again. I recently bought my dream bass, a Fender USA Precision, and I couldn't be happier with it. I had a MIJ P-bass about 15 years ago, but this is my first US one. Hoping to get involved here and help out if I can, although despite my length of time playing I am still clueless on many things!

A lot of us are, Mike. It's actually one of the best kept secrets on TB .

Always nice to have another Brit on here, btw.
