I thought I'd introduce myself. I'm 40 years old and just started playing the bass. I've always wanted to play but the rest of life always seemed to get in the way.
I'm up against a few obstacles... I'm left handed and always played air-guitar that way... it just seemed natural. Anyways I picked up an Ibanez Bass (i'm so new I didn't even memorize the model) and I'm attempting to play it right-handed.
Lastly, I have small hands with crooked pinkies!! No lie! But not one to make too many excuses....I'm giving it my all.
First lesson was yesterday and it was amazing. Crooked pinkies and all!!
I had a ball looking at the forums.. seems like the place I need to be. I hope to gleam as much info as I can...
