Greetings to All

Hello
I played bass in an alt. rock band for about 5 years.
I could play ok but not that great. I was getting alot better. Then I had a really bad car accident and I havent played for about 7 or 8 years. My Doc told me that I needed to get a hobby. I just bought a Ocean bass, and I still Had a pratice amp. I havent had this much fun in years. I sat for couple of hours just playing around and it felt great. I even ran some scales. Anyway just wanted to say hi.

Crash Course School O'Bass Playin

Greetings from the North,

Yes there is life after near death and it's called Music. Been there too and that's when I started playin again after the first surgeon said to forget about it. My technique may not be pretty but I can keep a groove and hit the notes that I want. And when I can't I just call it improvisation

Welcome aboard and keep playin cause it only gets better.

Happy Times,
Rezdog

Hey Rezdog
Thanks alot. I am glad to hear you can still play too. I very rusty right now but i am getting better. I feel alot better mentally. I have been depressed for years about not being able to play. My wife and doc have really encouraged me to play again. I guess it helps that my doc plays guitar. He says i needed to play again because there is not enough bass players around. I went to a friends wedding this weekend and meet up with a couple of guys i use to play with. Well they want me to play out with them again. YEAH!!! I cant wait. So I am going to pratice for a couple of months and then maybe try a gig. Hopefully everything works out. Hope you are having a good time pllaying again.
