Okay, so here's my deal:
Back when I was in high school, I played the bass. (And I took a guitar class in freshman year, but my heart just wasn't in it, you know?) I sucked! And I know I sucked, but I had my fun, so I kept at it for a while.
Then I did... something
I don't even remember what it was, but it was bad enough to warrant me getting my instruments taken away from me for six weeks. And it turns out that six weeks was just enough time to forget everything I ever knew about bass-playing, except maybe what a bass guitar looks
like, because--as previously established--I was never really that good.
Cut to I'm-not-gonna-say-how-many years later, and it turns out that my roommates are musical people--one plays a ukulele, one plays a flute, and one plays a piano. (I think most of the other four just like listening
to music rather than playing it.) So I mentioned that I used to be a (terrible) bass player, and that I still had my bass, and they were all "OMG BRING IT BRING IT," and I was all "but no you don't understand i can't play anymore" and they were all "DON'T CARE BRING IT," blah blah blah I brought the damn bass.
Since I'm basically relearning everything from the beginning, I figured it'd be in my best interest to make nice with some people who weren't
complete idiots, and I found this site while looking up how to raise the action on my acoustic, so here I am.
I am now going to hide behind this wall and wait for someone to say something:
